Coastal Pools was recently contacted by Exec-U-Lawn, to team up on this pool remodel in Annapolis Maryland. This pool looks out over the Severn River and has amazing view, however because of the proximity to the Severn River Bridge the noise was a big factor in the home owner trying to relax in their back yard. Then when you Factor in the pool and patio area that were very outdated, and this home owner decided it was time to give their back yard a face lift.
The first thing you notice about the pool in the before pictures below is the ugly and outdated concrete coping (there was a poured concrete patio as well) that trims out the pool. From there you will see a shed that was turned into a “pool house” and lastly you will see failing plaster. Coastal pools came in, and added a Blue Stone granite 6 x 12 pool coping from Classic Pool Tile and Stone that gives the pool a darker coping to make it stand out more from its surroundings. We then added Raku Cobalt waterline and trim tiles from NPT Tile, as well as the corresponding Deco Tile to give the pool that extra pop. Exec-U-Lawn worked hand in hand with us on this project and did an amazing job on the paver patio to really accent this pool. Finally, a raised wall with 3 Sheer Descent Water Falls were added in order to help drown out the noise from the Severn River Bridge, as well as to add to the tranquility of the project. Lastly Exec-U-Lawn ripped down the old pool house and built the home owner a custom out door kitchen to tie the entire project together. The final step was to replaster the pool using the Grigio Treasure Primera Stone by Wet Edge Technologies to give the pool the aqua marine water color the home owner was looking for.
